A Better Rail Service for Commuters!
One issue which has come up on the doorstep recently is concerns regarding commuter trains and the rail service on the line between Marple, Hazel Grove and Manchester Piccadilly. These services are extremely important for many local residents who commute to Manchester, and it is disappointing that the service has been reduced.
One of the key priorities for William Wragg MP has always been improving transport links for our area. With reports from residents about the overcrowding on key commuter trains. Services have become significantly more overcrowded since the timetabling changes, this is because of the same number of passengers using a reduced service.
As the member of Parliament for Hazel Grove William Wragg is making representations to Northern Rail to make these points clear and to request that residents’ concerns can be addressed. We will campaign to have the timetables reinstated or changed to make them more suitable for local people.
