William Wragg, MP for Hazel Grove, took part in the National Citizen Service Challenge Program which took place at Stockport Masonic Hall. Groups of youngsters from across Stockport and Cheshire were tasked with preparing pitches on social action projects which had to be fully costed and be specific, measurable, achievable, realistic and timely.
William said: "It was great to join the NCS Challenge Program in Stockport. The teams put together fantastic pitches and I was impressed by their analysis of the issues they raised, such as homelessness and how we combat loneliness as a society."
The National Citizen Service is a voluntary personal and social development program for 16 and 17 year olds across the UK, as is a great opportunity for our young adults to meet, make friends and make a positive contribution outside of the classroom.
