In May 2015, newly elected Member of Parliament William Wragg signed up to be a ParliMentor.
ParliMentors work with University students who are either studying or have an interest in politics, ParliMentors allow these students to see how being a MP works in practise, bringing them closer with Members of Parliament to show them what MPs do in both Westminster and how their office works in the Constituency too.
William has met with the students in Marple to show them around his office as well as talk to his staff but he has also shown them around Parliament giving them the best insight into what they're studying.
Speaking about the programme William said; "I was very pleased to be able to 'mentor' students from Manchester University and show them what MPs do in both Westminster and back in the Constituency. Being able to see all students graduate was excellent and I wish them all, every success in their future choosen career path."
