I have recently met with residents from Bredbury and Woodley who are concerned by a planning application which would devastate local greenbelt. I have been working closely with residents and the Labour MP for Denton and Reddish (Andrew Gwynne) against the development which would seek vast swathes of the Tame Valley concreted over.
My comments on the matter are well documented, and this was picked up this week in the Manchester Evening News - https://www.manchestereveningnews.co.uk/news/greater-manchester-news/mp…
Stockport Council are now consulting over the development, and I would encourage all who are against this development to write their letter of concern to the council. The consultation closes on March 7th and they must be sent in writing to Planning Services, Place Directorate, Stopford House, Piccadilly, Stockport, SK1 3XE referencing the case number: DC/074399. Alternatively, you can respond to the consultation via the council website: https://planning.stockport.gov.uk/PlanningDate-live/
