William Wragg MP helped to lead the campaign against the extension of the Bredbury Industrial Estate- it’s now crucial that councillors listen to local people and reject these plans next week.
Working closely with local residents in Bredbury and Woodley, William Wragg has campaigned against plans to extend the Bredbury Industrial Estate into the Tame Valley- an area much loved and well used by many.
Alongside Andrew Gwynne, the neighbouring Labour MP for Denton and Reddish, William has taken the cause to Parliament. In October 2018, William presented a petition signed by thousands of concerned residents, who like him, fear the loss of greenspace and the ensuing traffic chaos that will be caused by extending an already busy industrial site.
Next week, Councillors will give their verdict on the plans meetings scheduled for Monday 8th March.
William said: “Next week, the Werneth Area Committee of Stockport Council will be presented with these plans. Don’t let them push through this disastrous development- tell them what you think today!”
William is urging all who share his concerns about this plan to contact their local Councillors, Their details can be found here: http://democracy.stockport.gov.uk/mgCommitteeMailingList.aspx?ID=135
William added: “I’d like to thank all of those who have so far supported the campaign against this plan. I hope that local Councillors who have a say on this will stand up for residents across our area who will be severely impacted should this plan go ahead.”
