I enjoyed spending a day with our local police based at Marple police station. It was invaluable for me to learn more about their vital work in our communities.
I joined a PCSO on patrol in Bredbury and visited Stepping Hill hospital to take part in a meeting about the close working between the police and hospital.
I will always support the work of the police in deterring and detecting crime. That’s why I welcome replacing the officer numbers that have been lost since 2010. 20,000 officers will be recruited over the next 3 years. I will make sure that Stockport gets its share.
